Above photo:  the Pilot Bay Lighthouse was in operation from about 1905 to 1993.  Although no longer lit, it remains open year round to locals and tourists It is one of several local historical hikes accessed from Pilot Bay Road.

  • Kootenay Lake supports many species of game fish:  Gerard Rainbow trout, Dolly Varden, Kokanee salmon and Whitefish

  • Kootenay Lake does not freeze - the winter months are especially good

Swimming/Beach
